Julie Nemeth

From the title of the presentation, I expected an interesting assessment and conclusion concerning Jewish women and their attachment & separation issues due to their religion. I thought Nemeth had some interesting discoveries, for example between Jewish women who identified with their religion inwardly as opposed to outwardly, so to speak. Yet, I felt like the presentation was mainly an abundance of background information or facts and statistics that were rather unrelated to the topic, culminating in generalizations with a lack of specifics concerning Jewish women. If there had been a larger sample group, more in depth questions, or possibly a more specific sample group, more factual data may have been collected and the experiment could have culminated in more solidified data. I think the hugely varied sample had a great effect on the outcome on the experiment and made it difficult to recognize any true similarities between the women. I would be interested to see the results of this experiment again, given some changes and more data to back up the hypothesis.
